Repair Studs

We offer repair studs to replace your broken ones. These studs are pipe threaded on one end and bolt threaded on the other.

Simply grind the broken stud flush with the face of the boiler and install the old coil plate back on. Use a transfer punch to mark the exact center of the hole of the broken stud, then drill and tap to the appropriate size.

Next, teflon tape or pipe dope the pipe threaded side of the stud. Tighten two nuts together on the bolt threaded side,  and turn the repair stud in! Once stud is tight, remove the nuts.

Final step is to make sure the surface is clean and free of any oil or tapping fluids. This can be done with soap and water.

This saves you and the customer the cost of welding the stud.

Available sizes are:
3/8″ N.C. to 1/8″ N.P.T.
